Worcester City v Accrington Stanley - Monday 24th October 2005
F.A. Cup Fourth Round replay

An awesome display of attacking football by the City demolished high flying Conference outfit Accrington Stanley who ended this game looking a forlorn and exhausted side.
City dominated the game, hitting the post in the first minute (video of this here) but Accrington soon went into a two goal lead. The Accrington fans must have thought it was game over but they were soon proved wrong.
City pulled a goal back with a Chris Smith header (follow this link to see the goal).
The second half was one way traffic towards the Stanley goal. Sam Wedgbury and all of the City fans thought he's scored with a long range effort but the linesman ruled it out. Soon after in a rare attack Accrington also had an effort ruled out.
With time beginning to run out City stepped up a gear and deservedly equalised through Adam Webster. With extra time looming City were awarded a free kick just outside the box. Andy Dibble made a great save but Rob Warner followed up to net for City. A video (of sorts) can be found by following this link.
Perhaps the finest win for the City for 20 years.
